Controversial talk-meister and gay-community-enemy Dr. Laura Schlessinger has been axed from Paramount Domestic Television's line-up. "Good Friday came two weeks early for us,"
said Cathy Renna, news media relations director for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Renna credits GLAAD's two year campaign to educate advertisers and media
executives about Dr. Laura's anti-gay philosophies as playing a pivotal role in ending the show, which was a flop with viewers and critics alike. As of press time, neither Dr.
Laura's Web site nor a recording on the show's ticket request line mentioned the cancellation.
