- PR software-provider Vocus, Inc, Lanham, Md., acquires Astrum Digital Information, a broadcast monitoring company, in a move that will enable Vocus to extend its media
monitoring services to broadcast monitoring.
- As it enters negotiations with the U.S., the Government of Chile has retained Fleishman-Hillard International Communi-cations to implement a comprehensive communications
program to raise awareness and build support for a trade agreement between the two nations. Only Israel, Canada and Mexico currently enjoy free trade agreements with the U.S.
- Larry Sennett, a former global managing director of Ogilvy PR's high-tech practice, will become president of Edelman PR Worldwide's technology practice on July 9, based in
San Francisco. He succeeds Miller Bonner, who becomes a consultant to Edelman.
