Strategy of the Week

When companies go global, communications go with them. Hewlett-Packard recognized that its employees in other countries were feeling out of the loop as the company launched its
@hp portal, but with eight official languages, the corporate communications team in the U.S. could hardly crank out customized communications for every foreign employee. Instead,
it built a communications network with PR pros at HP locations around the world. Those communicators would receive information ahead of time - in time to create customized
materials and translate messages accurately.
