If you're in the media business, you surely receive the occasional yuck-yuck list of newspaper headlines that fall into the not-well-thought-out category ("Iraqi Head Seeks
Arms," and "Prostitutes Appeal to Pope").
We're thinking about creating a similar category for email subject lines after receiving an e-pitch from Salzman Associates with the header, "Great Gift Ideas for Editors." It
reads [sic]:
"Looking for a Gift a Child will Treasure? You may want to look at http://www.10PennyArt.com.
You'll find a unique graphic arts program where 100 animals and birds stand
up on their own feet on any tabletop at home. Finger dexterity is all the child
needs. Fascination guaranteed."
Thanks, but we were really hoping for LEGOs this year.
