Say What?

The idea was oh-so-clever: A snazzy foil package containing nostaglic "Silly Putty" in a plastic egg, sealed with a sticker that read, "The teen market is a tough egg to
crack."

Inside, a teaser touted Triple Dot Communications' expert knowledge of teens' buying habits: "Over $2 million was spent on Silly Putty alone last year. Want to know what teens
are buying this year? Call us for story ideas, quotes, facts, surveys...We know teens."

The irony: They don't know packaging. Our plastic egg arrived in about six pieces, no doubt shattered en route in its flimsy foil bag wrapper. Seems that egg wasn't so tough
to crack after all.
