The Golden Ruler Award, the industry's top honor for public relations measurement and evaluation, has been renamed in honor of Jack Felton, former president and CEO of the
Institute for Public Relations and a co-founder of the group's Commission on Public Relations Measurement & Evaluation. PR News is a media sponsor of the
2006 Jack Felton Golden Ruler Award, and applications for the award are now online at http://www.instituteforpr.org, with a June 30 deadline. Judging criteria falls into three areas: Research methodology, quality and
substance, and contribution to the practice of public relations. Winners will also be honored at an award ceremony at the IPR's Summit on Measurement, held in September on the
campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
