To give corporate social responsibility (CSR) short shrift is
bad for business. A study released last week by Oracle Corp.
and the Economist Intelligence Unit says 85% of executives
and investors rank CSR as a central consideration in investment
decisions - double the level in 2000. "The Importance of Corporate
Responsibility" surveyed 136 executives across numerous industries
along with 65 investors to gauge the influence (and critical
aspects) of corporate responsibility in the global business
