PR Gives Back to D.C. Community

Want to use your communications skills to help your community? The American Red Cross and the National Capital Chapter of PRSA are preparing a communications response team for
the D.C. area. The Red Cross will conduct a three-hour training program for 20 communicators in the area on Tuesday, March 12. The team will handle communications issues in the
event of a natural disaster, terrorist attack or community crisis. This program allows communicators to participate as a Red Cross volunteer for either two hours (writing and
pitching press releases throughout the year), two days (serving as a spokesperson during a disaster), two weeks (traveling to disaster sites to provide PR support for large-scale
disaster relief) or two times (providing expertise as a member of the Red Cross PR planning committee). For more information or to register, contact Kami Watson, To register, send her your name, title, company, address, phone, fax and email address.
