Join the leadership team with the City of Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is located in the southeastern section of the Phoenix metropolitan area and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. This new position will be responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive public affairs and strategic communication programs that will strengthen community relations efforts. This position will act as the City spokesperson in highly sensitive, complex and emergency situations and will establish and maintain regular communication with the local press and news media.
Successful candidate will be an individual with proven communications, consensus building, problemsolving and interpersonal skills. Progressive management experience in directing a public affairs program including the supervision of professional and technical personnel is required. A Bachelor's degree is also required. Experience in bilingual communication skills and local government are also preferred. Minorities and women are encouraged to apply.
