Helping Docs Get Wired

With more and more patients doing their physician-selecting homework online, physician practices need to get on their radar screen with a strong interactive Web presence.

To help physicians make their online debuts, TeleVox Software, a doctor-to-patient communications firm, has launched three Web sites, http://www.orthosites.com, http://www.toothpages.com and http://www.practice-showcase.com.

Each Web service provides professionally designed sites with interactive patient services that can be customized to meet the patient communication needs of the orthodontic,
dental and general practice medical fields.

The Web sites feature:

  • automated credit card transactions;
  • patient access to appointment and billing information;
  • patient registration;
  • multimedia consultation sessions; and
  • promotional areas for books and lectures.

Each site is securely hosted on TeleVox's Web servers using the doctor's personal domain name and can include the personal email addresses for staff members.
