EUROPEAN PAPERS AVERAGE HIGHER IN INT’L COVERAGE

IPREX, a worldwide affiliation of 51 independent PR firms based in Atlanta, conducted a survey of 20 metropolitan newspapers from around the world and found that international newspapers carry an average of 2 to 3 times more international coverage than U.S. newspapers.

The London Times offers the most coverage, with 11 pages of international news. The survey found that U.S. papers cover mainly local news and were also shown to devote twice as much space to advertising than international papers. (IPREX, 317/923-2300)
