Around 1,000 PR execs (mostly from the corporate sector) will gather at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel and Spa in Los Angeles this week (June 6 through 9) for the International
Association of Business Communicators annual conference. Keynote speakers include author Salman Rushdie and Mark Schumann, principal with Towers Perrin and head of the global
research firm's HR Services. Considering the locale the meeting wouldn't seem right without a little movie time. So, the IABC will present a screening of "The Corporation," an
award-winning documentary that takes a controversial look at the nature of the corporate institution, how it impacts the planet and the public's response. Look for a full
