Colleagues admire Bill Smith for many reasons, as he is thoughtful and routinely mentors younger members of his firm.
In addition to serving as the daily point of contact for one of the firm’s longest tenured clients, Smith was instrumental in securing the new business of global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.
He assisted several vice presidents in developing the RFP, and presented to the CMO and other management personnel from A.T. Kearney as part of Makovsky’s new business team. Due to the rapport developed from the initial presentation and subsequent onboarding meetings, Smith currently serves as A.T. Kearney’s daily point of contact, and acts as a trusted advisor and media relations expert for the firm.
Smith was also instrumental in developing a communications campaign centered on the diversification efforts of one of Makovsky’s publicly listed companies in the financial sector. This effort involved developing internal/external corporate communications, press releases, emails, Q&As, as well as conducting due diligence on relevant media targets and refining the overall corporate message.
Smith was a true team player, working with more experienced investor relations experts on the Makovsky team, as well as including younger account executives in the discussion.
