Ed McMahon is going back to talent scouting. The former "Star Search" emcee will host a new variety series, "Ed McMahon's Next Big Star," on PAX TV, due to launch in August.
Producers will hold auditions around the country and accept applications through NextBigStar.com. "Laugh In" creator George Schlatter will executive-produce.
