THE BIG PICTURE: COMPENSATION ON A GLOBAL SCALE

IABC's plans to publish a comprehensive compensation study remain on track (PRN Sept. 13), but some new partners have come on board. Participating associations now include: Council of Communication Management; Arthur Page Society; European Confederation of PR Associations; International PR Association; Institute for PR-Ghana; Mexican Association of PR Agencies; PR Institute of Australia; PR Society of Slovenia; PR Institute of South Africa; Swedish PR Association; Florida PR Association; National School of PR Association; and the Texas PR Association.

The Canadian Public Relations Society is not participating, but endorses the effort. The study, conducted by Burke Marketing Research and scheduled for release in early 2000, will include information on job satisfaction, workplace trends, salary and compensation, and roles and responsibilities for communications professionals.
