From PR News' vantage point in New York, it's looking like this weekend will be merely rainy and not apocalyptic. Hurricane Joaquin is expected to stay out at sea and move in a northeasterly direction, with wind and rain expected in New York on Saturday, cloudiness on Sunday and sunshine on Monday.
So no crazed last-minute purchases of ramen, water jugs and batteries—just a hopefully lazy rainy Saturday.
Around here, we breathed a sigh of relief and asked the PR News community on Twitter to name their favorite thing to do on a rainy day when they're not working. Here are some tantalizing suggestions, if you're looking for easygoing inspiration.
• "My favorite thing to do on a rainy day when I'm not working is to stretch out & read a book with one of my cats snuggled on my lap."
• "Make some delicious homemade soup, maybe go out for coffee and actually sit down to enjoy it."
• "Eat. sleep. repeat."
• "Watch movies and nap."
• "I love to discover new places and capture moments with my camera!"
