From PR News' vantage point in New York, it's looking like this weekend will be merely rainy and not apocalyptic. Hurricane Joaquin is expected to stay out at sea and move in a northeasterly direction, with wind and rain expected in New York on Saturday, cloudiness on Sunday and sunshine on Monday.
So no crazed last-minute purchases of ramen, water jugs and batteries—just a hopefully lazy rainy Saturday.
