Pitch Tips

Executive Producer Mark Perton suggests all press releases and pitches be sent via email to [email protected]. Simply send it
along with the section you think your story belongs in and it will be routed to the appropriate editor.

Perton can't remember "off-hand" any PR pitches that made it into print or onto the network. But that doesn't mean that PR professionals shouldn't pitch.

"We're open to suggestions," he says. For example, he'd be very receptive to a pitch for a woman writing a book featuring 10 Tips for Organizing Your Finances for the Tax
Season. The author could make it into an article on the Web site, or even as a guest commentator on the network.
