A national health science publisher and subsidiary of The Times Mirror Company, debuted its new "Mosby's Patient CareLink" online program to support point-of-care provider initiatives, last week at the American Medical Informatics Association convention in St. Louis.
The Mosby database is designed to boost physician relations and can be installed on a healthcare institution's intranet or information system. Health professionals will have point-and-click access to:
- integrated patient information on drugs, diagnostic tests, treatment plans for diseases and patient education/promotional materials.
- Mosby's GenRx, a drug reference database that covers approximately 45,000 prescription drugs.
The database will be custom-priced by site and is currently being beta-tested and is scheduled for a national system roll-out in early 1998.
Mosby is currently looking for other beta test sites.
