Weber Group Adds $3.5 Million In Business With New Clients

Cambridge, Mass.-based The Weber Group proves that the e-commerce windfall is good news on the PR side as well. The company just lassoed $3.5 million in new business from more than a dozen clients.

They include the online bridal registry site weddingnetwork.com, and Findlaw, a Web portal providing an avenue to legal and government information and continuing legal education courses. (Weber, 617/520-7072)

Council of PR Firms Gives Fortune Subscriptions to MBAs

The Council of PR Firms, New York, gave 20 Fortune subscription awards to members of Students for Responsible Business, a national group of 1,500 MBA students at 100 graduate schools in the U.S.

The Council has been promoting PR as a necessary business component with unprecedented zeal. Last month, it sent complimentary Fortune issues containing the magazine's well-known "Most Admired Companies" list and a pull-out bound ad. (Council of PR Firms, 212/865-3015)
