Winner: USANA Health Sciences—Express Your Selfie #USANAselfie
Interdepartmental collaboration around the USANA Health Sciences 2014 International Convention helped the #USANAselfie campaign reach diverse audiences—19 markets worldwide— and resulted in more than 5,800 mentions of the hashtag on Twitter and Instagram. Slideshows on Instagram featured select selfies streamed throughout the event and were included in the background of the twice daily live stream broadcasts. Distributors who snapped particularly creative selfies were recognized during the event and prize packs valued at $500 were awarded to the top two selfies.
The social media team engaged with participants frequently throughout the promotion, liking and commenting on photos and encouraging individuals to get their teams involved. More than 4,500 photos were uploaded during the weeklong contest, shattering their goal of 2,500. The #USANAselfie campaign generated a tremendous amount of buzz during the event and reached a variety of demographics. The campaign helped USANA add nearly 300 Instagram followers and 3,477 Twitter followers with a nominal investment. The hashtag was mentioned over 5,000 times on these channels throughout the week of the contest.
