Director, Media Relations
Rachel is director of media relations for W2O’s Earned Media Team where she manages media relations and media strategy for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
A storyteller at heart, Rachel pursued a career in journalism before transitioning to public relations and has special insight into working and building relationships with the media.
Rachel has worked with Johnson & Johnson, Janssen Healthcare, Sanofi Pasteur, Takeda Oncology, Medtronic, and others, all for whom she is constantly leveraging her long-standing relationships with agenda-setting reporters across a range of outlets from The Today Show, The Doctors, Newsweek, Fast Company, Wired, Forbes, and countless others.
Before joining W2O Group, Rachel worked at Pure and Canale Communications, where she honed her skill for making scientific stories accessible to a variety of audiences.
Rachel has a master’s degree in communications and media studies from San Diego State University (SDSU) and was awarded the PRSA New PR Pro of the Year award. Rachel has presented on PR at NC State, SDSU and the International Public Relations Research Conference. In her free time, Rachel loves to run after her six-year-old son and is working on her second fiction novel.
