Lauren Lawson-Zilai is the director of public relations and national spokesperson for Goodwill Industries International, which was recently named the #1 brand doing the most good by the Brand World Value Index. Goodwill® is the second-largest nonprofit according to The NonProfit Times, providing education, job training and mentoring to millions of people each year through the revenue from the sale of donated goods. In her role, Lawson-Zilai leads external and strategic communications, including celebrity spokespeople, crisis communications, national media relations, media measurement, social media, and creative services, including video production. Lawson-Zilai has been quoted in the Associated Press, Chronicle of Philanthropy, MarketWatch Radio, The New York Times, and USA TODAY.
Lawson-Zilai was named the 2015 PR News’ Top PR Women of the Year, and the 2014 PR News PR Professional of the Year: Nonprofit/Association. She was also the 2014 WWPR PR Woman of the Year honoree. Lawson-Zilai currently sits on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America – National Capital Chapter. She is a graduate of Lycoming College and The Denver Publishing Institute.
