Darrel Ng has served as the public relations director for Anthem Blue Cross in California since 2011. California is parent company WellPoint's largest and often its most challenging media market, especially as the state leads the nation in implementing the Affordable Care Act.

Darrel comes from the world of politics and state government communications. He is a veteran of two presidential campaigns, most recently taking a leave of absence from WellPoint to serve as director of rapid response for then vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan in 2012 at Romney headquarters in Boston. Darrel has also worked as chief deputy press secretary for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and as press secretary to Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner.
