2016 Rising PR Stars: Jasmine Baez Munera, Senior Account Executive, Employee Practice, MSLGROUP

As a senior account executive in MSLGROUP’s New York Employee Practice, Jasmine Baez Munera redefines work ethic and motivation. She joined the agency as a 2014 intern, but quickly progressed because of her proactivity, accountability and relentless pursuit of “better.”

After she joined the firm full-time, Munera became the go-to for her practice’s largest client account: the Dutch grocery company, Ahold USA (AUSA). She helped take a relationship with AUSA from basic tactical creative requests to an account spanning MSLGROUP’s three areas of expertise: employee engagement, employer branding and change management.

Munera was honored with MSLGROUP’s Talent DNA Award for business prowess, recognizing her financial management of the practice’s largest account, her new business insight and her ability to build meaningful relationships with clients. It also came with an extraordinary “skip-level” promotion elevating Munera to account executive.

When AUSA decided to focus on employee recruitment and retention, Munera was a key voice in the development of the company’s employer brand. She helped implement the initiative across five consumer brands in a way that was aligned, yet gave each entity a distinct look and feel. At the same time, AUSA turned to Munera to help communicate its career development program. The training tools Munera developed drove employee engagement scores and were recognized by the industry as the best career development materials of 2015.
