Women Are Proactive Healthcare Decision-makers

While healthcare marketers recognize that women are key healthcare decision-makers, recent research provides multi-dimensional insight into women's health attitudes, the conditions they're subject to and the activities they engage in to receive information. Beta Research's Confidential Study of Women's Health Issues examines women's use of and satisfaction with dozens of healthcare products, how women access health information and key caregiving issues.

Key study findings include:

  • 55% of women surveyed believe healthcare has generally improved over the last five years.
  • 65% are more involved in their own healthcare compared to five years ago.
  • 62% research ailments or treatments that affect them or their families.
  • 78% question their doctors' choice of treatments.

The study is based on 4,100 adult women nationwide and is available by key demographics such as age, specific health conditions/diseases being treated and types of healthcare coverage.
