2016 Rising PR Stars: Danielle Meister-Cohen, Manager, Corporate Communications, Samsung Electronics North America

Danielle Meister-Cohen is a former journalist-turned-PR-pro who is quickly earning her stripes in issue management, crisis communications and storytelling. She has a positive can-do attitude that is focused on thinking strategically and on the big picture. She has become respected among leadership at Samsung (both in the U.S. and in Korea where the company is based) for her results, strategic counsel and get-it-done attitude.

Meister-Cohen is currently a manager of corporate communications at Samsung Electronics North America where she is focused on protecting the company’s reputation in the U.S. through integrated communications efforts that blend traditional media with digital, social and stakeholder engagement.

Earlier this year, Meister-Cohen was selected to be the first ever participant in the company’s Global Mobility Program for PR Professionals. This program is an individually customized leadership development program where members of the Samsung PR team from around the world spend six to eight weeks working in the company’s Global Communications Group at Samsung’s headquarters in Korea to build relationships and develop a more global PR mindset.
