2016 PR People Awards: Student of the Year

Winner: Caitlin Bohrer, PR Lab Team Leader, Arizona State University Cronkite PR Lab

Caitlin Bohrer is a self-starter in the best sense of the word. She offers strong written and verbal communication skills and an appreciation for the technology practitioners must employ to aid clients now and in the future. She also appreciates the value of teamwork and the emotional intelligence it takes to get the job done well and on time.

Bohrer is a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication; she is also completing a Certificate in Sales and Marketing Essentials and a minor concentration in Business from the W.P. Carey School of Business.

Bohrer was selected to work at Verizon Super Bowl Central, the epicenter of Super Bowl XLIX festivities. She served as a media operations associate for sports PR firm Brener Zwikel & Associates, where she helped coordinate and execute media coverage for NBC affiliates and Telemundo stations at Super Bowl Central. The event attracted more than one million visitors in the week prior to the game.

Bohrer has interned in advertising at Cramer-Krasselt's Phoenix office and in healthcare PR at Banner Health. She also has experience working with nonprofit organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley and with small businesses like Govig & Associates, an executive recruiting firm in Scottsdale.
