Sharon's award-winning campaigns are based on comprehensive research and driven by her expertise in generating tangible results through strategic messaging and media relations. Her command of health, medical, and scientific issues spans from bench to bedside−and beyond. She currently leads a national media campaign for Banner Alzheimer's Institute promoting Alzheimer's prevention research and oversees science promotion for Digestive Disease Week, and the Society of Interventional Radiology. Sharon leads campaigns aimed at reducing diagnostic errors, increasing patient engagement, promoting medical-leadership training, and preventing vision disorders.

She led messaging and positioning efforts for the highly publicized and sometimes controversial release of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition, DSM-5.

Sharon has special expertise in conducting media training for high-level scientists, physician leaders, and association executives. These trainings build skill and confidence in effective message communication in the media and in outreach to stakeholders.
