Seema Kumar is vice president, enterprise innovation and global health communication, Johnson & Johnson. In this role, Seema works to position Johnson & Johnson as a leader in innovation and global health. She serves as the communication leader for the Johnson & Johnson R&D Management Committee and the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centers.
Seema was previously vice president, Global R&D Communications at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where she had oversight of internal and external communications across the Pharmaceutical R&D enterprise. As part of the Pharmaceutical R&D management team, she led important initiatives to position Janssen and Johnson & Johnson as a pharmaceutical R&D leader and oversaw enterprise-level R&D communication programs as well as reputation management and global positioning of the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical pipeline and products, and its leadership in global health.
Seema joined the Johnson & Johnson family of companies in 2003 as vice president of global communications for J&J Pharmaceutical Research & Development. Prior to joining J&J PRD, Seema was chief communications officer at the Whitehead Institute/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Genome Research.
