…While Another Lands Nicely on His Feet…

If the grace period between being getting raked across the media
coals and full-scale rehabilitation is as long for Brewster as it
was for Gerry Boyd, Brewster will barely have time to unpack his
corporate bags. The New York Daily News reported last week that
Boyd, who stepped down as managing editor of The New York Times
amid the Jayson Blair fiasco last summer, is joining Columbia's
Graduate School of Journalism. He'll start this term in a newly
created position as director of case studies. Boyd is also writing
a book for HarperCollins' Amistad imprint that will address the
Blair mess.
