In the past year, as employee morale has been challenged by a struggling economy and declining public trust in corporations, employee communications has become a hot-button topic for communications professionals. Economic instability combined with an expanding blogosphere and exploding social media use have left companies vulnerable to all sorts of negative perceptions-internally and externally-but well-planned employee communications strategies can still unify a workforce and even bolster the bottom line.
For this PR News Webinar, we have assembled an experienced panel of PR and human resources professionals who will share best practices on making employee communications part of a company's overall business strategy and guide you as social media continues to open a window on a company's suddenly "external" internal crises. From staff reductions to customer rage on social media, our panelists will show which employee communications tactics to use-and when.
In this PR News Webinar, you will learn:
- Smart tactics for communicating with employees during staff reductions or a change in CEOs
- How to prepare senior executives for communicating with employees during a crisis
- How to use social media tools to involve employees in corporate goals and strategies
- Identifying issues, audiences, proper communications platforms and desired outcomes during change in your organization
- How to unite and engage a disparate workforce with CSR or volunteering programs
- How to engage employees during the launch of a new product
- Best practices to promote a company's transparency and good business practices
- Best ways to communicate your brand to employees in a crisis or in a down economy
- Tips for facilitating two-way communication with employees when your company is a target of bloggers
- How to measure your employee communications programs and one-off initiatives
