Valerie Merahn Simon has served in diversified capacities during her 14-year career in the media monitoring and publishing fields. She is currently senior vice president-sales for BurrellesLuce, which she joined in 2000. During her tenure with the company, Simon has managed a national sales force, overseen the launch of upgraded products, and forged relationships with industry partners. Before coming to BurrellesLuce, she was a sales manager for VMS and an account executive for USA Today. A prolific writer, Simon is a frequent contributor to the BurrellesLuce blog, Fresh Ideas, and authors a public relations column for examiner.com. She also has written for other online and print outlets on topics ranging from technology and professional development to real estate and parenting.
