Karlenne TrimbleKarlenne Trimble
Deputy Managing Director for MS&L/Atlanta and
MS&L's Global Practice Leader for Employee Engagement

With more than 30 years of experience in employee engagement, brand consulting, account leadership and design services, Karlenne Trimble specializes in communications challenges facing companies in technology and telecommunications, consumer products, healthcare, financial services and other industries. Some of her notable client assignments include: Cox Communications, Cingular Wireless/AT&T, Philips, CIBA VISION, Underwriters Laboratories, Best Buy, SunTrust Banks and others.

Karlenne specializes in developing and delivering strategic communications programs that influence the attitudes and behaviors of employees. She helps clients identify key behaviors important to achieving their business goals and then develops programs and processes to migrate employees from their current state of beliefs to adoption of new desired behaviors and actions. Alongside this, she has deep experience leading change communications programs for a variety of companies, including Cingular and AT&T merger communications, SunTrust rebranding program and an AstraZeneca selling model reengineering strategy. Karlenne leads MS&L's team of dedicated internal communications professionals in their efforts to create and deliver communications for leaders, managers and frontline employees.

In addition to employee engagement, Karlenne leads MS&L Studios, MS&L’s branding, design and creative services unit. Her work in this area spans many industries and focuses on both digital and traditional programs.

Prior to joining MS&L, Karlenne co-owned DeeleyTrimble & Company, an award-winning internal communications and employee marketing firm. In 2000, MS&L acquired DeeleyTrimble & Company and its proprietary methods to form the foundation for MS&L’s global workplace practice. This combination has generated powerful results for some of the world’s leading retailers, manufacturing and service providers.

Before forming DeeleyTrimble & Company, Karlenne served as executive vice president for R. Meadows & Fowler, a leading corporate communications and change management firm. Her responsibilities ranged from new business development to management of a diverse group of high tech, industrial and healthcare accounts.

It was at R. Meadows & Fowler that Karlenne launched her career in internal communications. In partnership with the Boston Consulting Group, she developed a culture transformation initiative for Square D Corporation that involved implementation in 22 countries and in seven languages. Based on the principles of “Total Quality Management,” the program involved a Vision College, providing inspiration and training to support the transformation process.

Karlenne’s award-winning work has been recognized by industry organizations such as the Public Relations Society of America, American Marketing Association and International Association of Business Communicators. She also received a special recognition award from the Girl Scouts of America for developing and executing a marketing program designed to recruit new leaders that helped to successfully save 200 troops.

Karlenne holds a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Auburn University and completed post-graduate work (MBA) at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and at Clemson University.
