Donald E. Martelli
Vice President and Director of Digital Communications
MS&L New England
Donald E. Martelli brings over 14 years of public relations, marketing, and communications experience to MS&L. His diverse skill set includes media relations, crisis communications, influencer relations, branding, public affairs, graphic design, digital PR and photography. Don currently manages a variety of corporate PR programs as well as directs all Boston’s graphic design, digital PR and social media efforts.
Most recently, Don was the director for marketing and communications for Malden Catholic High School, one of New England’s leading college preparatory schools located in Malden, Mass. During his three years there, Don was responsible for developing and implementing a communications program that re-positioned and re-branded the 75-year-old college preparatory school through a mix of traditional and social media communications channels.
Beginning his career as a general assignment reporter for the Boston Globe, Don covered city news, politics and business. After the Globe, he began his PR career with a public affairs stint for the U.S. Department of Defense where he developed and managed the architecture of the division’s website, managed graphic design programs and was a media relations point of contact. Later, he worked in the Public Affairs Office for Suffolk University doing mostly media relations, graphic design and editorial writing. Don’s agency experience stems from spending over six years managing technology, financial services, corporate and B2B accounts for two top PR agencies in the New England.
Don, a life-long resident of Boston, graduated from Northeastern University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
