Manager, Internal Communications
Sprint Nextel
Natasha Gaffoglio manages internal communications for Sprint’s Prepaid brands at Sprint Nextel. Sprint offers a comprehensive range of wireless and wireline communications services bringing the freedom of mobility to consumers, businesses and government users. In November 2009, Sprint acquired Virgin Mobile USA, which joined Sprint’s successful Boost Mobile business to form the new Sprint Prepaid group. Sprint’s prepaid brands are part of the “no contract” wireless business that offers wireless phones and services with no-contracts or activation fees and is now the fastest growing segment of the U.S. wireless industry.
Gaffoglio joined Sprint in 2007 as employee communications manager for its Boost Mobile division. She built a comprehensive internal communications program from the ground up and managed the strategic planning and operational implementation of all plan tactics, including activities of individual contributors with accountability for goals, objectives and operational policies. With the recent expansion of Sprint’s Prepaid business, Gaffoglio now leads a multi-media internal communications program for an employee base of more than 40,000 employees located across the country.
Gaffoglio brings nine years of professional communications and marketing experience to her role. Prior to joining Sprint, she developed and executed internal communications plans for an automobile prototype manufacturing company in Southern California. In that role, Gaffoglio facilitated inter-departmental communications across 40 diverse departments. She also fulfilled the role of executive speechwriter and company spokesperson.
An accomplished academic, Gaffoglio earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies from California State University, Long Beach, where she also designed curriculum and taught public speaking courses. Her research on the impact of international service learning on college students is published in several academic textbooks.
