Drew McGowan has significant experience in entertainment, sports, cause-related and brand marketing, event management and media relations. At The Clorox Company, Drew leads integrated marketing communications campaigns and sponsorships for Kingsford Charcoal, KC Masterpiece, Brita and Brita’s FilterForGood campaign to reduce bottled water waste. He manages the company's sponsorship of the Keith Urban Escape Together World Tour as well as ESPN’s Tailgate Week.
Drew’s work on Brita includes helping the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and NBC’s hit reality show The Biggest Loser go bottled-water free. He also orchestrated a deal with Pandora Internet radio to share an exclusive listen to Dave Matthews Band’s newest album with millions of fans, partnered with award-winning country music band Lady Antebellum to help fans kick their bottled water habit and reduced bottle waste on The ’09 Vans Warped Tour by outfitting 150 bands with Brita product and FilterForGood Nalgene bottles. The Brita FilterForGood Campaign recently won a Gold CLIO Award for Strategic Communications along with seven additional industry awards.
Drew holds a B.S.B.A. in Management from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business and is president of the Georgetown Club of Northern Calif. and an active member of the Hoya Hoop Club. He enjoys baseball, college basketball, hiking, barbecuing and live music. During the last year, he was a sous chef at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and a team member at multiple barbecue world championship competitions including Memphis in May and The American Royal. He resides in Oakland, Calif. with his wife Laura, son Lucas and dog Zito.
