David J. Roznowski, APR
Manager, State Government Affairs

David J. Roznowski is a veteran of the manufacturing industry with more than 18-years of experience in the agency, corporate, government and publishing environments. He has played an active role in the communications activities for companies in the automotive, chemical, consumer goods, manufacturing, information technology and motorsports industries.

Currently, David is the manager for state government affairs for LyondellBasell where he manages the various legislative and government agency activities that impact the company and the petrochemical industry – a position he has held since June 2009. Previously, he had been a regional public relations manager handling external communications programs — including community relations and outreach, corporate giving, media relations and crisis communications — for the company’s Houston Refinery and for the public awareness programs of the company’s Equistar Pipeline in 12 Southeast Texas Counties.

David joined LyondellBasell in 2005 as a regional public relations manager for the Northeast Region, where he had similar responsibilities for seven facilities and manufacturing plants located in Ashtabula, Ohio; Fairport Harbor, Ohio; and Baltimore, Maryland.

Prior to joining LyondellBasell, David held several corporate and agency jobs with Michigan companies including vice president with Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Straightline Public Relations and manager of North American Public Relations for automotive supplier Johnson Controls.

In addition to his civilian work in public relations, Dave is a commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve where he has served our nation as a Public Affairs Officer since 2002. Most recently he has been assigned to the Pentagon’s Navy Office of Information and previously with the Joint Public Affairs Support Element, part of U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia. Prior to the Navy Reserve, Roznowski spent eight years with the United States Air Force and Michigan Air National Guard.

Dave earned his bachelor of arts degree in public relations and speech communication with an emphasis in Journalism from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He has served on many boards and organizations and is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He lives in League City, Texas with his wife Kimberly and their daughter Lillian.
