PR News Announces 2014 Platinum PR Awards Finalists

starredcarpet copy 2PR News, the daily hub that serves the PR and marketing community, has announced the finalists for its Platinum PR Awards, the industry's most coveted competition which celebrates the top public relations campaigns from corporations, agencies and nonprofits. Winners and honorable mentions in more than 40 categories—ranging from cause-related marketing and community relations to product launch to social media campaigns—will be celebrated Sept. 16 at New York's Grand Hyatt.

Ginger Zee, chief meteorologist for ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” will emcee the Platinum PR Awards luncheon. In his keynote presentation on Sept. 16, Mark Burgess, author of the best-selling book “The Social Employee: How Great Companies Make Social Media Work,” will discuss how communicators can help lead their organizations on the road to being social businesses.

During luncheon event PR News will also celebrate this year's inductees into its Platinum Hall of Fame. The Platinum Hall of Fame recognizes benchmark campaigns that have had a larger impact than even its creators might have imagined and are likely to be referred to in years to come.

The 2014 Top Places to Work in PR will also be honored at the Platinum PR Awards luncheon. See the complete list of Platinum PR Awards finalists and Platinum Hall of Fame inductees.
