HootSuite, LinkedIn Integration Will Help Company Info Sharing

Social media management platform HootSuite has revealed that the beta version of its LinkedIn support is now open to all users. The partnership will allow HootSuite, which many companies use to manage their online social presence, to team up with LinkedIn and allow companies to pass on information and company news to its LinkedIn followers.

In the continuing hopes of becoming the top dashboard, the integration will not only give HootSuite a bigger platform, it will raise LinkedIn’s profile as a viable option for marketers and PR pros.

According to the report in webpronoews.com, the HootSuite announcement comes after LinkedIn revealed its Targeted Status Updates feature, already implemented through HootSuite, which will enable page managers to send updates to specified followers. The report also says that HootSuite users who want to use the new LinkedIn integration must still apply for beta access.

From a communications perspective, the easier it is for companies to pass on information to consumers, the better it will be for their respective brands.

This latest partnership is the next step marketers are taking in using social media to interact with consumers. By connecting directly with the followers of their brands on LinkedIn, organizations will be able to increase engagement, which will in turn allow them to hear consumer needs and serve them better.
