Video on Demand

A panel discussion about online crisis management that followed Larry Weber's keynote at the PR NEWS Strategic Online Communications Seminar underscored Weber's predictions
about video's eventual eclipse of print media. Medialink Worldwide Chairman Larry Moskowitz told seminar participants that streaming media delivered "on demand" via the Internet
may prove to be more powerful in the future than traditional broadcast has been in the past as a crisis response tool. "It goes where TV can't," Moskowitz said. Medialink is
currently deploying streaming media footage to counter negative consumer reactions to the Ford/Firestone fiasco and to address public health fears about hoof-and-mouth disease,
which many confuse with Mad Cow disease.
