▶ Big Data is Not Just for IT anymore: Don’t buy into the myth that Big Data has no place in PR. Teradata took the pulse of 2,220 marketing professionals to get a better sense of how companies are integrating so-called big data into their marketing wheelhouse. Here are some of the results from the survey:
• 50% of marketers said that marketing and IT are not strategic partners in their company.
• 45% of the respondents agree that data is the most underused assets in the marketing organization.
• 42% of the respondents said that a lack of process is the top obstacle to using data in decision making.
• Less than 10% of companies use the data they currently have access to in a systematic, strategic way.
