Johnson & Johnson Leads List of Top CSR Companies

â–¶ J&J Tops in CSR: Johnson & Johnson was perceived to have the best CSR credentials in a survey by The Reputation Institute and Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. The ranking is determined based on how the public perceives companies in three dimensions: citizenship, governance and workplace practices. Other findings:

  • J&J claimed the top spot even though it has been forced to recall a large amount of goods linked to its McNeil Consumer Healthcare arm.
  • The Walt Disney Company took second place with 81.33 points while food group Kraft took third, receiving 80.56 points.
  • Microsoft, PepsiCo and Apple, all earned scores above 80.
  • The top 25 companies all rated at or above 75 in this year’s study compared to 2009 when only the top nine companies scored that high.
