Timken partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build new family homes in six U.S. communities and several in India and Romania. Timken was also a proud sponsor of the 2007 Special Olympics in Shanghai. The company provided sponsorship not only in monetary terms but also in hospitality by having Timken associates welcome athletes, families and coaches across China.

Symantec Corporation

Symantec's objective, as outlined in its CSR, is to integrate environmental, social, governance and ethics programs into all of its business. The company is regarded as a world leader in tracking and responding to cyber attacks and seeks to uphold its strong customer relationships through its software component. To maintain its position, Symantec has reduced customer service wait time by nearly one third and improved Norton installation success rates. Crucial to these achievements is the employment of 2,000 support professionals in 29 centers globally offering, assistance in 10 languages.

Amerigroup Corporation

Amerigroup operates publicly funded healthcare programs in 11 states and serves 1.7 million members nationwide but each community is given specialized attention. To maximize employee volunteerism within the workforce, the company launched its "REALCaring" initiative. A key element of their volunteerism is the Disaster Response Team‹an extension of their previous grassroots effort entitled "running to the danger." The team is designed to assist those with disability in the aftermath of natural disasters.

VHA Inc.

A survey fielded at the VHA 2008 Leadership Conference indicated that the not-for-profit hospital members showed strong interest in increasing corporate citizenship/sustainability. Galvanized by these results, the VHA released its first Corporate Citizenship & Sustainability scorecard, a tracking tool to monitor core progress. The spirit of volunteerism proved infectious as the company matched employee volunteer hours with corporate contributions to select charities.
