JVWCD's Utah Green Festival

Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District developed three main objectives for the Utah Green Festival: Illustrate ways for the community to reduce its carbon footprint and water-use, showcase the Conservation Garden Park as an example to other community gardens, and establish JVWCD as an authority on water conservation. Vanguard Media Group was enlisted to drum up publicity and facilitate community relations resulting in park tours, workshops and the distribution of educational films.

Harrah's Entertainment for Atlantic City Code Green

Gaming institutions are not generally thought of in conjunction with environmental efforts but Harrah's Entertainment is doing its best to change that perception by making considerable efforts to "green" their four New Jersey resorts. Monitored by an internal communications campaign, changes have been made to the lighting, heating, air conditioning, and cleaning materials. In addition, they have supported local agriculture by supplying waste food and oil to nearby farms and providing compost materials.

Based on 2006 data, PepsiCo will be able to reduce its water consumption by 20%, electricity usage by 20% and fuels consumption by 25% per unit of production by 2015.
