Top Women in PR 2014: Allyson Hugley

Allyson Hugley, President, Measurement and Analytics, Weber Shandwick

Nothing captures the imaginations of industry executives while fueling their anxieties like big data. As Weber Shandwick’s resident analytics expert, Allyson is at the forefront of the data movement, working with clients to infuse data and analytics into every aspect of communications strategy and program development. She has created a full suite of innovation solutions and expanded the agency’s data services and talent base. She has also been a leading voice in championing the role of analytics in communications and advancing the role of science in public relations.

This year she launched the Weber Shandwick Global Data Salon to provide a forum for agency staff, clients and partners to discuss the evolving role of data in communication and the implications for public relations. Since January, Allyson has led eight Salon events including the inaugural series of talks hosted for agency clients in the UK and Berlin. The subsequent talks, hosted in New York, have presented a range of high profile speakers such as the former head of research for the Advertising Research Foundation. The events have garnered over 2 million social impressions, and attendees have included executives from GSK, the NBA, Adobe and Bloomberg.
