Top Challenges for Corporate Communications

Corporate communicators in the chemical, pharmaceutical and telecom industries are much more likely to be challenged by internal organizational woes than their colleagues in
the automotive, technology, financial services or utility industries. A new survey of corporate communications execs at 40 Fortune 500 companies in these sectors shows that
communicators in the latter industries were more concerned by marketplace issues like financial, regulatory and reputation problems; achieving brand awareness; and the need to
"stay on message." Budgetary constraints, staff recruitment and retention, and increased marketplace clutter were the top challenges for execs across all seven industries. Heyman
Consulting Group conducted the survey this past August. To receive a free copy of the executive summary, send an email with your name and address to Byron Reimus, [email protected].
