    retiring, but who will remain on as a consultant until next year.
  • Schwartz Communications cuts its Boston staff by 10% in response to the slow technology marketplace. The firm grew 58% last year and had hired in anticipation of 45%
    growth in 2001. But, executives were forced to reduce the staff by 22.
  • Primedia beefs up its offerings to teen girls with the addition of gURL.com. The media giant, whose Teen Internet Initiative already reaches 75% of the teen online
    demographic, purchased the Web site from multimedia teen retailer, dELiA's (sic).
  • Former MTV Networks and Middleberg Euro exec Mark Pasetsky launches Mark Allen & Co., a New York-based PR firm specializing in CEO and executive communications.
    Pasetsky was previously VP of corporate communications for Viacom's MTVi and Nick Online.
