Agency Hires

APCO Associates, Washington, DC, names Carol Stogsdill senior vice president (formerly senior editor and VP of the Los Angeles Times); and Richard V. Allen, a former national security advisor to President Reagan, as senior counselor.

Ogilvy PR Worldwide/New York welcomes Hera Marashian as VP and head of its creative department; was director of promotion and creative services for USA Weekend/Gannett.

Maloney and Fox, LLC, New York, appoints Betty Woodward as senior VP. She was formerly deputy director of PR at Brouillard Communications (a J. Walter Thompson company). Sam Yanes, formerly VP of corporate communications for Polaroid, joins the firm as senior counsel.

Schwartz Communications, Inc., a high-tech and medical technology PR firm based in Waltham, MA, hires Anne Desautels as senior VP in its San Francisco office. She was most recently head of Manning Selvage & Lee's global technology PR practice in San Francisco.
