captured the Grand Neal Award at the 49th annual Jesse H. Neal
National Business Journalism Awards (presented by American Business
Media). The piece that put IDG over the top? "Making it in 2002," a

A new Neal award was introduced this year to recognize an
investigative reporter: the Timothy White Award, the late Billboard
Magazine editor-in-chief who died suddenly last summer. The first
award in his name will be handed out at next year's Neal's.
