Cause Marketing Credit goes to American Express…

The financial services giant has been named the 2004 business
recipient of the Cause Marketing Golden Halo Award, for matching
smart marketing with support for good causes. Amex's cause
marketing partnerships include the Statute of Liberty-Ellis Island
Foundation, a fundraising campaign to reopen the doors of the
Statue of Liberty; Charge for the Cure, in which Amex helped to
raise $2.5 million in the fight against breast cancer and Blue for
Music, which supports music education programs in public schools
nationwide and raised $1 million in 2003 toward the cause. Amex
will be recognized for its efforts at the 2nd Annual Cause
